We created this collection of handmade candles inspired by the 22 Major Arcana cards of the tarot (from the Latin arcānus – mystery). These 22 cards can be interpreted as the spiritual path of a person from birth to reaching perfection.
The candle is marked with the number 16 of the Major Arcana – The Tower. The archetype of The Tower symbolizes a person's excessive ego and excessive personal ambitions for which he will inevitably be punished. Those who climb high, fall low. It is an earthquake that shakes the foundations of life. Such an avalanche threatens a person who is too proud of his achievements and when his pride becomes too great. Naturally, then comes the moment of truth and the undeserved "prize" is snatched away. The Tower also symbolizes the willingness to take great risks, to prove your abilities and to flaunt your personality, thereby destroying both your own inner harmony and that of those around you, and sowing destruction.
Along with this candle you will receive:
- A tarot card of the Major Arcana, which, together with The Tower, can suggest how and at what level the Tower archetype manifests in your life.
- Suggested affirmations and the magical fragrance of orchid, mimosa, coriander seeds, white musk, licorice, cedar and saffron can help you avoid taking big risks, not showing off your skills and not displaying your personality, thus avoiding destroying your own inner harmony and that of those around you, and avoiding sowing destruction.
Aromatic ingredients:
- Cedar - has a calming, invigorating and rejuvenating effect, gives a feeling of comfort, therefore it is recommended for people suffering from irrational fears, aggression, hysteria, anger or other physiologically inconsistent phenomena, as well as insomnia. It symbolizes abundance and prosperity. Cedar encourages leadership, helps to have faith in oneself, in one's own strengths and abilities.
- Saffron: In Ireland, saffron is still used in babies' cradles, so that the newborn will grow healthy and strong. In Italy, saffron is thrown at the bride and groom, as it is considered an aphrodisiac that stimulates fertility. Arabs, Berbers and Persians give saffron as a wedding gift to ensure fertility. The Romans valued the scent of saffron and considered it "gently soothing", often compared by poets to the soft colours of sunrise or sunset.
- Coriander seeds: The word "coriander" comes from Greek, and means "anise" + "bug". The aroma of fresh coriander is reminiscent of the smell of bugs, hence its name. However, unlike fresh leaves, coriander seeds have a very pleasant aroma, reminiscent of flowers and lemon. The fragrance of coriander seeds energizes, helps to get rid of fears, encourages to act, increases self-confidence and creativity.
- Orchid: This scent also helps to combat negative emotions, however, it is an egocentric fragrance, which can both attract positive thoughts and feelings and destroy them. Therefore, its use must be very specific, with a clear knowledge of what is wanted, otherwise it could exaggerate egocentrism and extinguish empathy.
- Mimosa: Sensitive and shy, mimosas have been used in magical rituals to induce psychic dreams. Their magical aroma helps one delve into the depths of the soul, hear one's inner voice, and receive information from the spiritual world. The fragrance of mimosas is believed to help us sense and understand messages from the gods.
- Licorice: For several thousand years, Chinese medicine practitioners have used it to treat many ailments, from ulcers and constipation to nausea. In the tombs of the pharaohs, among other treasures, scientists discovered remains of licorice root. This plant was particularly valued and appreciated. Since ancient times, licorice has also been included in incense for its aroma that positively affects youth, sexuality, charm and physical health.
- White musk - Musk is a classic aromatic substance of animal origin, used in perfumery and extracted from the male glands of certain animals (most often musk deer). Since in nature animals use musk as a pheromone to attract the attention of the opposite sex, this aromatic substance has a similar effect on humans. White musk is a synthetic substance used in perfumery as an alternative to red musk of animal origin to preserve nature and animal population. The aroma of white musk brings vitality and energy. It is believed to be a powerful aphrodisiac that stimulates the senses, awakens and opens the most secret desires and the depths of the soul.
